A language teacher,
checked by us first.

Every teacher here passed our interview, a scored demo lesson and our background checks. Tell us who is learning and why, shortlist up to three teachers, and our team arranges the rest.

The directory

Who is learning, and what for?

Our first teachers are being checked.

The directory opens as each teacher passes our checks. You don't have to wait: tell us who is learning and what for, and we will match you with a teacher ourselves.

How it works

We stay between you and the teacher, on purpose.

  1. 1

    Shortlist

Pick up to three teachers, or let us choose. Send one request: who is learning, the level, the goal and when.

  2. 2

    We check the fit

Our team replies the same working day. For English we use our free placement test, so the level is measured, not guessed.

  3. 3

    A trial lesson

If the teacher offers one, you meet them in a trial lesson first. Each teacher decides whether it is free or paid, and how long.

  4. 4

    Lessons

You book a package of hours. We send the quotation and the invoice; pay online by card, bank transfer or Flywire. Cancel a lesson free up to 24 hours before.

What we check

Before a teacher is listed.

Teachers apply to us, and most are not listed. These are the checks a profile shows; a teacher who has not passed one does not get its tick.

01

Qualifications

We see the original certificate: CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, a teaching degree, or the equivalent for the language.

02

Their own level

A score report we verify ourselves, or a native speaker's interview with our Academic team.

03

A scored demo lesson

Each teacher teaches us a short lesson, scored against six points: aims, level, learner talking time, feedback, exam knowledge and their own language.

04

Identity and right to work

A teacher living in Malaysia must be allowed to work here. A teacher abroad who teaches online needs no Malaysian pass.

05

Two references

From a school, centre or employer they taught for.

06

Child safety

To teach anyone under 18: a check against the Malaysian child-offender registry or a police clearance from their country, our code of conduct and safeguarding training, renewed every two years.

For teachers

Teach with us.

Freelance, on your own hours. We find the learners, handle the bookings and the invoicing, and you teach.
