Why this programme

Built for what comes next.

01

Project-based, not drill-based

Every level is built around projects — students research, write, present and defend real work from the first week.

02

Assessed like a first year

By Level 4 students sit the kind of structured writing and analysis a first-year undergraduate faces.

03

An official English provider

Completion can satisfy the English requirement at our Malaysian partner institutions — we confirm each one's terms before you enrol.

Questions

Academic English — FAQs.

How long does the full programme take?+

Four levels of three months each — about twelve months end to end, though most students join partway up rather than starting at Level 1.

Do I need a placement test first?+

Yes, and it is free. Twenty minutes online returns a CEFR band and the level you should start at.

Is this recognised by universities?+

We are an official English provider for our Malaysian partner institutions, so completion can satisfy their English requirement without a separate test. Requirements differ by university and sometimes by faculty, so we confirm yours before you enrol.

What does Academic English cost?+

From RM2,600 per month. Each level runs three months across four levels, though where you start depends on the placement test rather than on the calendar.

How is this different from the Premium English Programme?+

PEP is the flagship five-level ladder from A1 upwards with published per-level fees. Academic English is narrower and aimed squarely at university readiness — lectures, essays, seminars and first-year assessment. If you already know a degree is the destination, this is the more direct route.

Which universities will accept it?+

We are an official English provider for our Malaysian partner institutions — 32 of them, listed in full on the partner directory. Terms differ by institution and sometimes by faculty, so we confirm the exact requirement for your chosen university before you enrol.

Can I take a formal exam afterwards as well?+

Yes. Many students move into an exam-preparation track for an IELTS, TOEFL, MUET or PTE score — useful if you may apply outside Malaysia later, where a recognised programme does not travel the way a test score does.
