Bahasa Malaysia is the official language of Malaysia and was formerly known as Bahasa Melayu (Malay Language). It is not only spoken in Malaysia but is also widely spoken in Brunei, Indonesia and Singapore.

Bahasa Melayu is an easier language to study than English, French or Mandarin. You may need to spend 300 hours before you can use any of  the latter in a simple conversation, while for Bahasa, you can just spend 100 hours studying before you are able to do so. This is because Bahasa Melayu does not use past or past participle verbs.

The Malay Language course is meant for individuals who do not speak Malay and are interested in obtaining the necessary language skills for everyday communication. The course teaches students  basic  vocabulary  needed  to  carry  out structured and complete conversations. Each unit being introduced is selected and processed to meet the daily needs of students in conversations. At the same  time,  the  students  are  exposed  to  specific techniques to ensure that they understand the proper structure of sentences in the Malay language.

 

Communication is the process by which we interact with each other. It is the flow (transmission and reception) of information, ideas, feelings, attitudes, perception and understanding both verbally and non-verbally, between two or more parties.

Communication is much more than the use of words either spoken or written. It embodies attitude, behaviour, dress, body language, style and method of presentation, quality of listening and perceptions and interpretations.

This course is design for person who need effective communication in order to achieve result at work and who want to improve their own their verbal and nonverbal communication. This course gives an answer, how to decrease barriers and increase understanding of others, recognize differences in communication styles, develops influencing skills by improving listening and building relationship with others.


Hospitality English is a supplementary oral English course focusing on communication concepts and vocabulary of importance in the hotel and tourism industries. Hospitality English helps prepare students for a range of positions, from receptionist to sales manager.

Hospitality English focuses on language functions, such as requesting, refusing, suggesting, and confirming. Language is presented in the context of a hospitality business workplace and has been carefully chosen to include high-frequency vocabulary essential in that business environment.

Entry requirements

All applicants must possess at least a high school certificate and required to demonstrate competent level in English language

Class Structur
  • 3 Months per level : Level 1 ( Basic), Level 2 (Elementary), Level 3 (Intermediate) & Level 4 (Advanced)
  • 5 days a week
  • 4 hours daily9.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 6.00pm

GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE
The aim of this English Language course is to produce students who:
• Can communicate effectively and confidently in English by developing their reading,   listening, speaking and writing skills
• Have a good basic foundation in English through the process of Beginner to Advanced Level
• Can refine their skills acquired in lower levels and expand on more sophisticated skills needed for high-level social and academic interaction
• Will be able to develop their ability to communicate independently, with a degree of
accuracy and fluency
• Have sufficient mastery of the English Language to pursue their higher education

Course Objectives

For Beginner Level, you will be able to:

  • Ask and answer simple questions on familiar topics
  • Use simple phrases and sentences to describe where you live and people you know.
  • Understand familiar words, basic phrases and simple sentences.
  • Write a short, simple paragraph and be able to fill in the forms with personal details.

For Elementary Level, you will be able to:

  • Communicate in simple and routine methods on familiar topics and activities.
  • Simply describe your family, other people, living conditions and educational background.
  • Understand phrases and vocabulary in common areas.
  • Understand the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements.
  • Write short and simple notes, letters and messages.

For Pre-Intermediate Level, you will be able to:

  • Deal with various situations when you travel in an area where people speak English.
  • Give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
  • Comprehend the story of a book or film and describe your reactions.
  • Understand the main points of clear speech at work, school and leisure.
  • Understand the common, basic or job-related language.
  • Write easily about familiar topics and personal letters describing experiences and impressions.

For Intermediate Level, you will be able to:

  • Speak regularly with native speakers.
  • Discuss familiar topics in detail.
  • Give your opinion and explain advantages and disadvantages.
  • Understand long speech, lectures and follow complex arguments.
  • Understand the majority of films in comment accents.
  • Read articles and reports about common topics.
  • Write essays, reports or letters about events and personal experiences.
  • Write clearly and in detail about a wide range of subjects

For Advanced Level, you will be able to:

  • Take part fluently and effortlessly in any conversation and have a good familiarity with idiomatic expressions and colloquialism.
  • Present clear, smoothly flowing descriptions or discussions in a style appropriate to the context and with an effective logical structure.
  • Understand any kind of spoken language, live or broadcast, at fast native speed, when you have some time to get familiar with the accent.
  • Read with ease abstract, structural or linguistically complex texts such as manuals, specialised articles and literary works.
  • Write summaries and reviews of professional or literary works.

MANDARIN COURSE
This course provides an opportunity for the students to acquire better speaking skills in Mandarin with the emphasis on natural, colloquial usage. It is design to develop and reinforce language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing as it relates to everyday life situations. New vocabulary and idiomatic phrases will be emphasized and the student will hold conversations in Mandarin during each class.
    The objectives are to master the Mandarin phonetic system (pinyin and tones) with satisfactory pronunciation and to understand the construction of commonly used Chinese Characters (both simplified and traditional). The students will also be able to understand and use correctly basic Chinese grammar and sentence structures and build up essential vocabulary.
